Cellulite has a very characteristic appearance and occurs when there is an abnormal accumulation of fat in the body and fluid retention between the skin and the connective tissue beneath it. The uneven distribution of fat that accumulates below the surface of the skin, creates on its surface the appearance of “orange peel”. It is not only for people with an accumulation of increased local fat, because cellulite can also occur in people with very low weight.

Cellulite is caused by poor local perfusion and lymphatic drainage. The inhomogeneous deposition of fat, water and toxins leads to an increase in the volume of fat cells. Poor local perfusion and reduced tissue oxygenation reduce the elasticity of the skin which gradually becomes fibrous and rough.

Its occurrence can be due to many different causes such as gender, heredity, hormonal disorder during pregnancy, as well as taking birth control pills, obesity, lack of physical activity, smoking, sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, excessive alcohol consumption etc.

Ribs are faint lines on the body that occur when the tissues under the skin break down due to rapid growth or excessive tension. It is a common skin condition, but it does not cause any other health problem except aesthetic.

They are caused by abrupt changes in skin tension such as pregnancy, adolescence, rapid height gain, rapid weight loss, etc., which result in our skin not being able to follow the tissue changes and “open” forming ribs. This creates a thin, wrinkled and different colored surface (initially red or pink and when atrophy is established, the characteristic white). Sometimes this is accompanied by itching. They are a few centimeters long and 1 to 10 millimeters wide.

Ribs are more common in women during adolescence, but can also occur in men.

  • Chest, abdomen in pregnant women.
  • Buttocks and thighs, when there is rapid growth.
  • On the shoulders of people who do intense exercise.
  • In overweight people.

They can also occur in people with chronic steroid use, or in people with Cushing's disease or hereditary disorder Marfan syndrome.

The earlier they are treated, the better the results will be, as we can significantly improve both the appearance and the texture of the skin. Our goal in the treatment of Ribs is to create new connective tissue with a healthy structure that resembles that of normal skin. To achieve this, we periodically stimulate the perspiration of the area where they appear.

Relaxation of the skin. Over time, the skin progressively disorganizes, losing its elasticity, tonicity and firmness. The relaxation and “fall” of the skin is a result of the retraction of the plexus of the basic structures that support the skin, due to the degeneration of collagen and elastin. The relaxing tendency of the skin usually appears around 40, although it is now found at younger ages, due to the modern lifestyle. It may be due to:

1. The normal process of aging. Time leaves its marks on our skin activating the law of gravity.

    2. Chronic exposure to sunlight (and / or solarium). Ultraviolet UV destroys skin cells, while damaging collagen and elastin fibers.

    3. Fluctuations in body weight. A sharp increase or decrease in a person’s weight (hormonal reasons, pregnancy, obesity) does not give the skin the right time to adapt and hold the tissues functionally.

    4. Smoking. It is a key factor that contributes to the dehydration and premature aging of the skin, but also to the reduction of its firmness.

    5. The modern way of life (bad eating habits, alcohol, dehydration, stress, bad night’s sleep, reduced activity, air pollution, use of care products with high content of chemical ingredients, etc.)

Radiofrequency therapy is a complete solution, as it aims at multiple results such as local lipolysis, cellulite elimination and skin tightening. Multi Polar technology, through the multipolar RF transfers energy through the layers of the skin, resulting in selective heating of the tissues and the extracellular space, where the collagen fibers are integrated.

Targeted heating of fat cells in the treatment areas leads to an increase in the rate at which fat is released from the heated tissue, increasing metabolism and lipolysis. The method of intradermal massage through dermal injections improves lymphatic and blood circulation.

Detoxifies and decongests the treated area from toxins and useless by-products of cellular metabolism, aiming to achieve the reduction of cellulite and local thickness. Local, focused heating also increases the metabolism of fibroblasts, so as to accelerate the production of collagen and elastin. This ensures a natural and uniform result in tightening and toning the skin.

Pressotherapy is a treatment aimed at lymphatic decongestion through alternative air pressure throughout the body according to the course of the lymph, as a type of lymphatic massage. It causes intense sweating and accelerates the detoxification process, while facilitating the circulation of lymph, as a result of which the body is freed from toxins and fluid retention. It significantly contributes to the fight against cellulite and local fat caused by fluid retention. We apply it either individually or in combination with slimming treatments in order to improve the elimination of released fat.
